We are EDP Soccer.
Founded in 1999, the Elite Development Program (EDP) is one of the largest organizers of youth soccer leagues and tournaments in the country. EDP manages more than 10 leagues for boys and girls from ages levels 8U to 25U and also runs over 20 tournaments each year. More than 8,500 teams participate in EDP’s leagues, and more than 5,000 teams compete in EDP tournaments annually. EDP focuses on providing teams and clubs the best league and tournament experiences possible for their players, coaches, and families.
“Elite” defines the goal of EDP Soccer’s employees: Provide the best competitive opportunities --- leagues and events --- for youth soccer players. Well organized. Safe. Available to players at all skill levels. Reasonable travel. Low goal differentials. Emphases on fair play and positive support for players from game officials, coaches, parents, and spectators.
“Development” recognizes that clubs and their teams help players learn about the game of soccer through training and other activities designed to improve the players’ individual and collective skills, and that the players and their teams need appropriate competitive opportunities to test as well as showcase their development. EDP Soccer provides these competitive opportunities, again, the best competitive opportunities, in leagues and events that support players as they pursue their own developmental pathways.
“Program” speaks to the full range of competitive opportunities --- leagues and events --- provided by EDP Soccer. A player, team, and club can complement and support their training program with the year round competitive program provided by EDP Soccer.
